This collection features an original print made up of miniature landscape photographs taken by the designer while visiting Abiquiu and Taos, New Mexico at the start of this year and inspired by her research into West African and African-American strip weaving and quilting techniques. The collection was born out of the tension between containment and infinite space, felt particularly acutely while these styles were being developed during the New York City lockdown. Through these styles, the designer seeks to explore the mysterious and powerful balance between order and improvisation, containment and endlessness.
