Film Release: "From Within"

Yes/No Duo is Jenny Lai (notaligne.com) and Mike Truesdell (miketruesdell.com) - skating through the intersection of fashion and performance using the arts of clothing design and percussion! Clothing can be more than an unmemorable necessity of the concert experience - it can support, complement, and enhance the musical experience for performers and audience members alike.

In the piece From Within, Yes/No Duo takes fashion into unfamiliar terrain. The clothing becomes integral to the musical performance because it, itself, is the instrument. Traditional clothing hardware and software such as buttons, zippers, safety pins, velcro, and fabrics are chosen for their varied sonic potential and visually constructed to support the composition and performance. Four/Ten Media captures the performance on film in exquisite detail.
